Adrienne and Alvin’s wedding at The Beltane Ranch in Sonoma was one of my favorites of the season. Sometimes everything comes together, the time of year, the light and the people to make for really great images. Thanks to Adrienne and Alvin for having me up to The Valley of the Moon for their incredible wedding day.

This is my second time up at The Marin Headlands Center for the Arts to photograph a wedding and I can say that if Karen and I got married again this would be the venue. It just feels right when I enter this space. Natural light and worn-out wooden floors go throughout the building. I guess it reminds me a bit like Thornes Market in Northampton MA but with a little less patchouli.

JJ and Tara chose the Marin Headlands Arts Center for their wedding and it was a great day.

Linda And Robert

Mom comes in for her first sight of her daughter

Linda and Robert chose this spot behind the Chapel to see each for the first time before the ceremony.

The Chapel on campus was designed by Callister and Payne in 1967

You can always find a best man trying to get a minute alone to finish his speech

It’s great to get asked back! I Photographed Anna and Eric’s wedding way back in 2004 at the amazing Clos La Chance Winery in San Martin. Two years later I photographed Anna’s sister Sera’s completely different wedding down in the Santa Cruz Mountains. It ended with the groom and a few guests in the Pacific Ocean!

So it was great to spend the afternoon photographing Ann and Eric's first child Lauren and documenting another part of their family story.
